Let’s take care of some numbers here… It’s been 109 days since erikaleighfun.com has heard from erika leigh… but in that short 109 days and the short 12 minutes I just calculated the list you are about to read, I can mark about 150 ‘holy cow, awesome, no way’ moments/accomplishments that filled our void between then and now! I have missed you blog… but i am back… yet another promise to blog more than once every three months…
Since Feb 23 2009, i have…
(#40) put ‘BLOG!’ on my to-do list approximately 40 times…
(#28) welcomed 28 kids into Studio 1929… two more than planned but hey, they were worth it…
(#14) realized the power of friendship after seeking rescue in the arms of about 14 of my closest friends… (In no particular order, Tony, Alyssa, Chad, Kristina, Carissa, Brandy, Christy, Jeny, Margaret, Devon, Melinda, Nikky, Shervin, and Jackson)
(#12) came up with a rather intensive 12-month marketing plan for erikaLEIGHphotography… (yes, blogging is included in every month… i told you it was intensive
(#11) spent approximately 11 hours on the phone with IT getting my third site (proofing and shopping) launched, my friends know this as my “Technology Tackle”… i came out on top!
(#10) thought about how thankful I am to be living my life… the good and the bad about ten billion times… (this is the least documented but probably most accurate statistic listed)
(#9) looked for an assistant on about nine different occasions which each can be closely associate to my typical to-do list overload.
(#8) partied with/photog-ed eight newlyweds… aw, love.
(#7) met about seven new additions to my family… Two 100% new: Barney (puppy) and Sara (MY NEW SISTER-IN-LAW) Five other lovelies: Heather, Stacey, Gavin, Lucas and Emily
(#6) took photos to fill about six different hotties’ comp cards! they’re hot! :)
(#5) Changed hair color five times… some transitions were smoother than others! While I enjoy change, this was not entirely my idea…
(#4) made it back to the awesome squad for my FOURTH year of professional cheering… oh, im getting old.
(#3) spent three days in ‘Las Orleans’ gettin back to the awesome life…
(#2) made two rocktorious trips to the homeland of Iowa… lost $25 dollars in the casino there… i’m still sad about that.
(#1) suffered one dramatic, yet eye-opening heartbreak.
So that totals about 150… I can only imagine the things I am forgetting and the awesome things I have to look forward to as i move in this next direction. Thanks to all for your patience in my writings, your support in my life, your belief in me as a person and as a photographer, your willingness to try something new with me… whether it be a new direction or just a different pose!
Other quick notes: Summer specials to come! Just consulted on my first 2011 wedding! Will be at Cobb Galleria, August 2 and Birmingham Convention Center, August 30 for some fun bridal events! Will be rolling out with some ‘Brave Brides’ PR late summer!
